Here's the final project with a few more changes. I tried to sharpen the softer images to bring them up to the sharper images and I softened the sharper images to blend them toward the softer. I added a driveway, brightened the image and tried to adjust colors overall to incorporate the old and new.

This is my second attempt at photoshop. I think the added buildings and landscaping on the temple were not as successful the previous picture was more believable.

Second project

Our 2nd project is a composite photograph. This is my first attempt at photoshoping two images into one. I took the car race picture as the background and added the selections of ancient temple and pyramid. I tried to add shadow to the temple. It needs to be more defined around the temple and I need to work on my edges.

The photos have been photoshopped and here they are...I chose all the outdoor photos to group together for this project because it was suggested in our critique session. They look better to me with the dark frame. I like the sharp contrast of them.

Homework

Well, I've managed to get all five images on the blog. I've got an empty window and now I need to figure out how to get rid of it. I really didn't get a chance to do much Photoshopping on them. I have tons of images to scan and a roll to develope. I need the lab hours to be posted!! Now to get rid of the empty picture.

Tiff files?

I can't seem to post my latest pictures from my flash file. I think the teacher said something about changing the format from Tiff to something else. My computer will not post them for me. I even tried sending them to my blog via gmail as an attachment. Nope, no way. I'll have to email her I guess.

class notes

Today I managed to scan,photoshop,a little and save my images. Now if I don't forget to take my flash drive with me I'll be good. I had a little trouble getting it out of the package. Scissors solved that problem. I have a lot to learn on the photoshop I need to look at my disk.

Class Notes:

I'm in class, still can't figure out how to put more than one image at a time. I want to load the first 36 photos that I've taken. I forgot my flash drive, but the scanner is broken anyway. I'll bring it Thursday. I should play with my copy of Photoshop at home now that I have a copy and the textbook to refer to...

Five Assignment

I finally got to develope my film for class today. I had some problems with the fixer but Chris helped me with the problem. I am ready to scan them for tomorrows class. I didn't share my ideas for this shoot, I guess I don't want to give away my ideas. My idea is five. This is my birth order, the number of children I have, this is a special number for me. So I have shot fives in this assignment. I drove around looking for fives, I took five things and photographed them, I photographed my five year old granddaughter and I will be 55 this year. All of the pictures relate to each other. I have taken five portions of my life, student, mother, housewife, artist, and airline worker and tried to tie them together as I pass a baton between them to myself. I was driving today and saw five birds on a telephone wire, darn it. Too late.

not so hot

I tried to add some pics today for an archive. I guess I'll need some help. I couldn't get the pics from my picture file to the blog. I have to go to work so I'll try again later. I don't get the blog thing either, I tried to add two to my blog butt to no avail!. Try, try, again, I will.

The first assignment is to create a series of five images that relate to one another. I have a few ideas and my camera is loaded. I have a week to have the negatives ready for the scanner. I hope to have 36 images by then. I need to find out when the darkroom is available. I would like to develope my own film if possible.
